He was 70.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Found on Martha&amp;#39;s Vineyard, authorities were still investigating the cause of Benedict&amp;#39;s death.&lt;/p&gt;


&lt;p&gt;Benedict began his acting career in the 1960s in the Theatre Company
of Boston, but he was mainly known for his role as Bentley in &amp;quot;The Jeffersons,&amp;quot;

Tupac Shakur collaboration, &amp;quot;I Gotta Get Mine.&amp;quot; He released 13
albums over 13 years, starting with the release of his 1991 debut, &amp;quot;MC Breed &amp;amp; the DFC.&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Breed moved to Atlanta in the early nineties, but will always be remembered in the Hip Hop community as the MC who put Flint on the map. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Breed leaves a legacy of being one of the first emcees outside of the northeast or California to gain national success, paving the road for other Midwestern artists of the nineties like Common,
Bone Thugs, and Harmony, and Tha Alkaholics to follow.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Breed is survived by three daughters, two sons, his parents, two brothers, and a sister.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Old School Tribune offers it condolences to the Breed family.&amp;nbsp; His legacy has been positively etched in the history of Hip Hop.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img src="http://oldschooltribune.com/aggbug.aspx?PostID=569" width="1" height="1"&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
